Taking Care of Winter Skin

Winter will soon fade to spring, but until it does, these skin care tips are extra important.

| Sunscreen |

Believe it or not, just because it isn’t sunny doesn’t mean you don’t have rays to worry about. UVs are out there and they’re damaging to our skin. Sunscreen is a no-brainer during the summer months, but try to make it a year-round habit. Check out SkinCeuticals’ SPF options, available in our retail room.

| Water |

Another step that seems so obvious during the warmer months: drink water! When it’s cool outside, we tend to forget how badly our bodies need to be hydrated. This is even more important due to the drying nature of the winter air. Less humidity means our skin isn’t getting the natural moisture it’s used to, which leads us to our next point.

| Moisturize |

This applies to the face and body. Find a lightweight facial moisturizer to add to your morning routine and something soothing for nighttime. A good body cream will carry you far in fighting dryness.
